SATURDAY WORKSHOPS IN COPENHAGEN

Creative Writing Workshops are held on Saturdays at various locations around Copenhagen. In every workshop we experiment with creative exercises, learn new techniques and write together. Everyone will leave the workshop with useful writing tools, new material and a warm, supportive writing community.

FOOD WRITING WORKSHOP AT LILLE BAKERY

Saturday May 4, 6-8pm

Maison Verb and GiuliaLovesCake present a food writing workshop at Lille Bakery. We will do creative writing exercises centered around the food on the table to generate fresh content for countless stories. We'll serve Lille's pastries, bread with butter and cheese, pizza on puff pastry, and coffee, tea and kombucha. 950kr

MAISON VERB SUMMER SERIES

The following workshops will be held Saturday 11am-2pm, location in Copenhagen TBD soon. Pastries, fresh fruit, coffee and tea will be served! Price per workshop is 750kr

FLASH FICTION & THE SHORT STORY: May 25

Learn about pacing and escalation, character development, high-concept vs low-concept and revision. We will practice precision and you will leave the workshop with a first draft of a flash or short story.

LIFE WRITING: June 1

We will revisit our own life experiences to generate material that can be used in various forms—from memoir writing to creative nonfiction.

WORKSHOP WORKSHOP: July 6

This workshop is capped at five writers with a structure inspired by Iowa Writers' Workshop. We will read up to 2000 words of each writer's piece in advance, then offer constructive feedback and have engaging conversations about each of the pieces. The writing must be sent 10 days in advance to give everyone enough time to read.
